Pueblos are made of clay, rocks and stone, they look like apartment buildings shaped as blocks. More then 100 people can live in one pueblo wow!
To make our pueblos, we used the following materials:
Styrofoam blocks clay
Dowels paint
Styrofoam platform brown paper
Leaves and sticks
Directions:
1. Plan how the blocks will be positioned on the platform
2. Cover blocks with clay.
3. Add windows to the blocks
4. Paint the blocks with terracotta colored paint
5. Let the clay and paint dry
6. Assemble blocks into a pueblo
7. Use hot glue and dowels to keep blocks on the platform
Throughout time rattles have been used for healing sick people, calling the spirits, and as a soothing form of meditation. Rattles were made of many different materials. Some were made from gourds, turtle shells, and bones. The rattles made out of a gourd were dried with the seeds inside and then were painted with Native Americans symbols. Some rattles were worn around the ankles during times of ceremonial dances. Other were shook to help keep the beat. Rattles and drums were a major part of Native American ceremonies.
